Welcome To Anchor Cottage
Anchor Cottage in Staithes is a traditional fisherman's cottage built over 200 years ago. Situated only a hundred yards from the beach and local pubs (which serve good food) it's only a two minute walk to the local art gallery cafe, butchers and shops. With fabulous, panoramic views of the harbour and beach over all three floors, it is the cottage with a view!
Views from every floor
Staithes is a picturesque fishing village situated on the "Heritage Coast of North Yorkshire" which extends northwards from Scarborough to Saltburn by the Sea. The surroundings offer some of the most dramatic scenery along the Cleveland Way with Boulby Cliffs; the highest in England at some 690 feet.
With its higgledy-piggledy cottages and winding streets, Staithes has the air of a place lost in time. Once one of the largest fishing ports on the north east coast Staithes is now is a very attractive tourist destination.
